ABOUT CLEAN SLATE:

Clean Slate is a personal collection of links that has grown from a period of curriculum planning, based on the QCA Secondary Geography Scheme of Work.

I am delighted that the new scheme of work developed by QCA, highlights the fact that KS3 Geography should be an exciting and dynamic course, with many opportunities for enquiry based learning and independent study. The new Scheme highlights many links to Key Skills, Citizenship, numeracy, literacy and ITC, but most of all it incorporates progression in skills and concepts. The Scheme reinforces the status of Geography within the National Curriculum, at a time when many are concerned at the long-term threats to the subject.
